My stay at Casa Maya Calakmul was unexpectedly delightful. Despite being tucked away off the main road, the hotel's charm and warmth more than compensated for its secluded location. Arriving by car was a must, but once there, the attentive staff made me feel right at home.The room was a sanctuary of comfort, boasting modern amenities while still embracing the essence of the surrounding Mayan culture. The floor-to-ceiling glass walls flooded the space with natural light, offering a serene ambiance that complemented the stylish decor effortlessly.One of the standout features of my stay was the culinary experience. The restaurant, with its open-air setting, provided a perfect backdrop for savoring the delectable dishes prepared by the talented chefs. The meals, infused with locally sourced ingredients, showcased the region's flavors in a fresh and innovative way. The breakfast, featuring an array of local products, was a true highlight, setting the tone for a day of exploration.
